Expert Survey regarding Assessment Instruments on Physical Activity and Physical Functioning in Older People
One of the overall objectives of the EUNAAPA is to offer advice concerning the quality of the different ways of assessing physical activity and physical functioning in older people. The first step in this process was to give an overview of instruments currently used in Europe, which has been executed by means of the inventory presented in this European report. This report summarizes information regarding instruments currently used in the participating countries, received both from the combined data files as from the national reports.

Inventory into best practices of physical activity programmes and promotion strategies for older persons in Europe
One of the objectives of the EUNAAPA network is to identify, disseminate and promote evidence-based practice in physical activity for all older people in Europe. In the former EUNAAPA project, an expert survey was held on physical activity programmes and physical activity promotion strategies for older people. The results have been published in a cross-national report by Young et al. (2008).
In order to disseminate the contents of these and other best practices across Europe, an inventory is launched within the EUNAAPA network. The objective of this inventory is to share information on (the contents of the) programmes and strategies. There fore we put out this call for successful best practices in European countries.
This initiative is carried out by the Netherlands Institute for Sport and Physical Activity (NISB) and TNO Quality of Life.
