Succesful symposium held by EUNAAPA at IAGG conference in Bologna (18-4-2011)
The steering committee of EUNAAPA successfully held a symposium at the VII IAGG conference “Healthy and Active Aging for all Europeans II” in Bologna 14th – 17th April 2011 with the title Physical Activity and Ageing: a challenging couple. The symposium covered the broad range of important aspects of physical activity with regard to best practice and implementation. The following speaders covered these topics:
· Prof. dr. Marijke Hopman-Rock: Physical activity and ageing: a challenging couple: introduction
· Dr. Ellen Freiberger: Falling and fall prevention: educational issues.
· Dr. Nina Waaler Loland : Never too late to become active: battle against ageism.
· Prof. dr. Federico Schena: Good practices in programmes and interventions to stimulate physical activity in older persons.
