About EUNAAPA
In this network people from the academic settings as well as practitioners and policy makers take part. The initial network was founded in 2005 (initiative from Lis Puggaard, Ellen Freiberger and myself) and it is strongly based on friendship and collegiality. From 2006 to 2008 the network grew stronger while carrying out the EUNAAPA project for EU DG Sanco. This project was lead by our network partners from Germany (prof. Alfred Ruetten and colleagues). In January 2009 partners will continue collaboration in the PASEO project, also funded by EU DG Sanco (Public Health programme).
The EUropean Network for Action on Ageing and Physical Activity (EUNAAPA) is a thematic, collaborative network aiming to improve the health, wellbeing and independence of older people throughout Europe by the promotion of evidence based physical activity.
We warmly invite yout to browse this website for more information on the work of EUNAAPA. If you are working in or interested in the field of physical activity and ageing you are welcome to join our network. Membership is free and gives access to new contacts, information and work in the field of physical activity and ageing .
